Dr Lavanya, though by profession a teacher in Russian
literature and Language (please see her curriculum vitae) was deeply involved with the
study of Indian art, architecture, culture etc with a holistic approach. She was trying to
explore Indian Art/Culture in its global and historical context. She virtually lived art
and the inherent universal human values in it. Her life was a life in search of beauty.
"In beauty we are united, through beauty we pray, with beauty we conquer".
She believed this motto firmly.
On this web-site you will find a glimpse of the vision of Dr. Lavanya. Though it’s a mammoth task to cover the entire area of her vision in a single lifetime. But we have made a small beginning to take up the task, which she has left incomplete. The topics, which are going to be covered under this web-site, are the topics Dr. Lavanya herself planned to write on. Infact, most of the articles presented here are either written or conceptualized by her only. This web-site is not a closed forum. As she would have cherished, we make it an open site for art lovers all over the world. If you feel exited enough to contribute/participate in this forum by sending your art observations, articles, photographs etc, you are heartily welcomed.
